Investment climate of the Netherlands

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to analyse the investment climate of the Netherlands from the perspective of foreign investors. It contains information on the history of the country, its population, geographic location, environment and above all, its economic sectors: agriculture, industry and services, and foreign trade. The main objective of this thesis is to select the factors and characteristics of the Netherlands that can influence decisions made by foreign investors when considering the market entry in the Netherlands, to clearly structure them into categories and describe them. This objective is achieved by the application of PEST analysis using information obtained predominantly from Dutch and European sources. The related objective is to create a coherent image of the country, a description of its basic characteristics and history and its attractiveness for the reader who has no deeper knowledge of international trade, investment or of the Netherlands itself.

This bachelor thesis deals with the investment climate of India and the association of BRICS, to which India is a member. Its main goal is to evaluate the investment climate of India and identify its most attractive areas. Within this goal, the first chapter outlines the creation and macroeconomic development of BRICS as well as the cooperation between its members. The second and most important chapter deals with India itself. It contains the characteristics of the country including its economy, it focuses on the development and main reforms of the investment climate, on the inflow of foreign direct investment and also on the issues of entering the market which implies to the barriers of entry and investment incentives. The third chapter consists of SWOT analysis of indian investment climate comprising its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Analysis of the russian investment environment focused on foreign direct investment in the selected countries of BRICS

The aim of this Master thesis is to analyze investment environment of the Russian Federation by focusing on foreign direct investment in the selected countries of BRICS cluster. First chapter is dedicated to the theoretical definition of the investment climate, observation methods such as PESTEL and SWOT analysis, indexes of the multinational organisation (Global Competitivness Index, Ease of Doing Business a Index of Economic Freedom). This chapter also defines investment incentives and foreign direct investment together with typology of this two terms. Second chapter focuses on the Russian investment policy especially on legislative and administrative investment regulation. Last part of this chapter focuses on development of special economic zones, which parcipate in alocation of the foreign direct investment in Russia the most. At the end of this thesis there are strenghts and weaknesses of the russian investment environment together with opportunities and threats described.

Bavaria, one of the wealthiest states in Germany, represents a globally active market, where not only many international companies operate but there is also a strong base of small and medium-sized enterprises in the area of trade, industry and service sector. The local government supports the further economic growth of the state through the implementation of investment policy which annually attracts many investors here. The aim of this work is to evaluate the potential and attractiveness of Bavaria from the perspective of investors as well as to analyse investment flows flowing into the state in comparison with the entire Federal Republic of Germany.

The diploma thesis deals with the flows of foreign direct investment and the investment climate of South Africa which is introduced in its context as one of the most significant African economies and the leader of this region who not only receives foreign investment, but also implements many projects by himself. The result of this paper is besides the description of the inflows and outflows of foreign direct investment mainly the comprehensive evaluation of the investment climate through the analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the South African economy. Mentioned are the risks related to possible investment and also opportunities that are supported by the government through a variety of incentives and programs for the development of specific sectors of the economy. The information gathered in this diploma thesis can help foreign companies as a basis for their decisions on implementation of foreign direct investment to South Africa or surrounding regions.

I believe that this thesis could serve as a handbook for those who would decide to start a business in Lombardy. This thesis focuses on the analysis of the business environment of the Republic of Belarus and trade relations with the Czech Republic. The goal of this thesis is to provide the reader a comprehensive document that provides a complete and relevant information to help readers to orientate themselves in the Belarusian business and investment environment. At the same time the aim of this thesis is to help Czech entrepreneur identify prospective business opportunities and Czech entrepreneur could realistically exploit his business activities. The mapping the business environment in Belarus, I used the PEST analysis, which is reflected in the logical construction of the thesis. The thesis charts the political and legal environment, economic environment, socio-cultural and technological environment of the country. I exploit my own knowledge and experience I have accumulated during numerous trips to Belarus in this thesis. This thesis clearly summarizes the significant characteristics of the business environment in Belarus. Getting familiar with its contents raises a presumption of successful entry of the Czech entity on the Belarusian market.
